Krupa Makhija

On completing her MFA in Painting from Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Baroda in 2007, Krupa Makhija has gone on to win several awards in the use of digital print and serigraphy combined with oil & acrylic paint.

Makhija constantly experiments with form and medium on paper and canvas alike. 'Form' is important to the 'object', which is a 'curious' element in her art. The artist refers to it as her 'metaphoric' language. It not only acts as a structure but is also used as visual vocabulary for artistic language. Her artistic endeavour is to observe the nuances of symbolic language in the genre of still life.

She lives and works in Baroda.
